Descriptive:
The most complete option to enjoy the Fuegian snow! Departure from the hotel to Tierra Mayor valley, the adventure begins. Previously instructed by our guide we put on our snowshoes and start a walk through the surroundings, we visit panoramic points and contemplate the majesty of the landscapes. At the end of the hike we get into the vehicle specially equipped with tracks and begin the crossing of the great snowy plain, where we will have time to take pictures in a dreamlike landscape.
The journey culminates in Nunatak where we will have lunch in the heated dome and have time to have fun with the sliding sleds. After lunch we will experience a husky sled ride and a guided snowmobile adventure!!!
Note: The order of the activities and tours may be reversed, depending on the
snow and weather conditions, and according to the size of the group, at the guide's discretion, without the right to any claim by the passengers. In the snowmobiles there are 2 passengers per snowmobile. The ride in 4×4 with caterpillar tracks is subject to ground conditions. Excursion not suitable for people with spinal/health problems or pregnant women.
We will pick you up at your hotel to live a full day in the snow.
The sleds are made of lenga wood, a native tree of the area. They are designed by the team of Valle De Lobos maintaining the traditional techniques acquired in repeated trips to Inuit Land by Gato Curuchet.
You will travel through the forest for twenty minutes in this mythical means of locomotion. You will never forget it: there is no sensation comparable to driving a sled pulled by dogs.
Always accompanied by an expert mountain guide, snowshoe hikes do not require previous experience or sports preparation and are usually of an optimal duration so that anyone can do them.
It is a unique activity in Latin America. The ATVs we use are 4×4 "Can-Am BRP" two-seater approved for 2 people, equipped with Apache tracks for snow, the latest generation. The activity consists of a guided tour through the forest, about 40 minutes approx., stopping at viewpoints where you can see wonderful landscapes.
This activity gives you the chance to drive a snowmobile through white roads in the valley and the forest, always accompanied by a specialized guide who leads the group. If you prefer not to drive, you can also go as a companion.
