Onboard our 4x4 trucks you'll travel along thes Scenic National Route N°3, with stops at the Valle Carbajal viewpoint and at Siberianos del Fuego to meet the Siberian huskies. From the Paso Garibaldi viewpoint you'll see two iconic postcards: Escondido Lake and the Fagnano Lake. The experience gets a boost with the adrenaline of the off-road trail in the Bombilla Natural Reserve and a perfect closing with a "picada" (a classic Argentine snack platter) on the shores of Fagnano Lake.
The day begins when we pick you up from your accommodation in Ushuaia in our all-terrain vehicles Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, ready to carve a path through mountain, mud, and forest trails. The drive along National Route N°3 is just a preview of what's to come: vast forests of "lengas" and "ñires" (native trees) and the mountains that define the island's profile.
The first stop is at the Valle Carbajal viewpoint, a landscape of glacial origin that will surprise you with its vast peat plains framed by the mountains of Ushuaia. From this viewpoint, you'll have the chance to appreciate the immensity of the valley and take your first great photos of the day.
In Siberianos del Fuego, a dog kennel, you'll meet the famous Siberian huskies, icons of winter in Ushuaia. This encounter is one of the most special moments of the tour: you'll get to see them up close, learn how they live, and feel the energy and friendliness they transmit.
The adventure continues along National Route N°3, where you'll discover the location of Ushuaia's winter resorts, like the Cerro Castor, until you reach the Paso Garibaldi viewpoint, the only trans-Andean pass that connects the city of Ushuaia with the rest of Tierra del Fuego. From there, you'll gaze upon one of the most sought-after views: Escondido Lake, surrounded by forests and mountains, and the immense Fagnano Lake in the distance, stretching until it disappears into the horizon. An ideal spot to enjoy the scale of Ushuaia.
We make a brief stop at the traditional Casona de Mary, a classic spot on the route, before tackling the most exciting part of the journey: the off-road circuit in the Bombilla Natural Reserve. This is where the 4×4 show their full potential with our expert drivers, navigating through muddy tracks, roots, and uneven paths in an experience loaded with adrenaline and fun.
The tour culminates on the coast of Fagnano Lake, one of the largest in our Argentina. You'll have free time to walk along the shore, take photos, and share a "picada" with drinks (water, soda, or wine) as you contemplate the vastness of the lake and its natural surroundings.
Finally, we begin the return trip to your accommodation in Ushuaia, with the satisfaction of having experienced the best of the 4x4 adventure in Tierra del Fuego in a single morning.
