Aboard our 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado vehicles, you will travel along National Scenic Route 3, discovering landscapes, viewpoints, and corners that showcase the essence of Tierra del Fuego during its brightest season.
The experience starts when we pick you up at your accommodation in Ushuaia and head north. The first stop is at the Carbajal Valley viewpoint, which at this time shows its green peat bogs and an open landscape framed by mountains, ideal for appreciating the scale of the valley.
At Siberianos del Fuego, the famous Siberian huskies will welcome you with all their energy. You can get close, pet them, and learn how they are part of the mushing tradition in Ushuaia, a practice deeply linked to the local culture.

The afternoon continues toward the Paso Garibaldi viewpoint, where you can enjoy two classic Tierra del Fuego postcards: Lake Escondido, surrounded by green forests, and Lake Fagnano, stretching until it fades into the horizon.
From there, we enter the Garibaldi circuit, descending along ancient paths opened by the lumberjacks who worked the lenga wood. Remains of sawmills still exist, witnesses to that pioneering era, which today blend with the living nature of the Ushuaia forest until reaching the shore of Lake Escondido.
A break at the traditional Casona de Mary awaits us before entering the Bombilla Nature Reserve. There, the off-road section begins, one of the most anticipated moments of the day: the 4×4 vehicles make their way through mud, roots, and hidden paths until reaching the shore of Lake Fagnano.
The grand finale arrives at this immense lake, known by the indigenous peoples like Khami. Its sheer size is so impressive that it often looks like an inland sea. 1. The adventure starts right at your doorstep
The day begins when we pick you up directly from your accommodation in Ushuaia in our 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado vehicles. The journey along National Scenic Route 3 anticipates what's to come: the city is left behind and open valleys, peat bogs, and the first forests of lengas and ñires that characterize Tierra del Fuego begin to appear.
2. First picture-perfect stop: Carbajal Valley
The first stop is at the Carbajal Valley viewpoint, a glacial valley crossed by extensive peat bogs. From this point, you can observe the mountains of the Sierra Alvear, with peaks like Mount Alvear and Mount Krund, as well as the slopes of Mount Bonete and, in the distance, the Sierra Sorondo.
3. Up close with the Siberian Huskies:
We continue on to Siberianos del Fuego, the kennel where the Siberian huskies greet visitors with their unmistakable energy. You'll be able to pet them and learn more about the tradition of mushing in Ushuaia, a practice that is part of the local identity.

From this panoramic point, you can enjoy two iconic views of Tierra del Fuego: Lake Escondido, surrounded by forests, and the imposing Lake Fagnano, stretching toward the horizon.
6. Garibaldi Circuit and Lake Escondido
From the viewpoint, we venture into the Garibaldi circuit, a path steeped in history and nature. The descent takes place along trails originally opened by woodsmen to transport lenga wood, an activity that marked the first productive developments in Tierra del Fuego. It is still possible to find remains of old sawmills, traces of the effort of those pioneers who worked in extreme conditions, turning the journey into an experience where 4x4 adventure meets the region's memory. The road leads us to the shores of Lake Escondido.
7. Break at Casona de Mary
We'll make a brief stop at the traditional Casona de Mary, a classic on National Route N°3. It's the perfect place to stretch your legs and, if you'd like, try a hot drink or a fried pastry before continuing the adventure.
8. Off-Road Adventure in Bombilla Nature Reserve
After the break, comes the most exciting part of the day: the off-road section in the Bombilla Nature Reserve.
