We are going to discover the fascinating topic of beavers and the impact that an introduced species has on the ecosystem. We are going to get into their natural habitat and together with the guide we are going to look for that spectacular photo of these cute little animals.
If this is your case, and you want to experience one of the most iconic adventures of Tierra del Fuego, we tell you what it is all about.
We will pick you up at the hotel to begin, aboard our Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 4×4 fleet, high-end vehicles that offer the greatest safety and comfort on the market, essential for traveling the Patagonian routes.
During the tour you will be able to admire the immensity of the mountain range, our specialized guide will tell you the history while you appreciate the peaks, glaciers, the Patagonian forest and the peat bogs that cover the valleys.
Our first stop will be in the great Carbajal Valley, one of the great peat reserves of Tierra del Fuego, where we will be able to appreciate part of the Andes mountain range and also a small part of what belongs to the Vinciguerra Glacier, one of the most important in the province. Our guides will be in charge of telling you everything you need to know about the place.
The next stop will delight our eyes at the old Garibaldi Pass, the only highway pass that has managed to cross the chain of the Fuegian Andes. National Route 3 is the first land route that was made to connect Ushuaia with the rest of the cities in the country. After all, Tierra del Fuego was provincialized in 1990.
From there we will descend to the Escondido Lake, the 2nd largest on the island, which has that name because on foggy days, it is completely hidden from the viewpoint.
We will enter the “Coca Cola” route, famous for being one of the best Off-road routes in the area. We will enjoy a fun and adrenaline-filled journey until we reach one of the stops, an active beaver farm, where if we are very lucky, we will be able to see beavers.
