Live the experience Lakes 4x4 FULL in Ushuaia: a full-day excursion that combines the Carbajal Valley, a visit to the Siberian husky kennel, the Garibaldi Pass, the Escondido Lake and the immensity of the Fagnano Lake with an off-road circuit through unique landscapes. Plus, you'll get to enjoy a a full lunch at the historic winter center Villa Las Cotorras and exclusive activities: a ride on ATV (quad bike) ride and a hike to an active beaver lodge.
During the whole excursion, our expert guide and driver will share captivating stories and fun facts to make your experience truly special.
The adventure kicks off when we pick you up directly from your accommodation in our all-terrain vehicles Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, specially designed to handle the alternative off-road circuit. We head north on the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, taking the Scenic National Route N°3. Along the way, you'll feel the unique excitement of what's to come: exploring places that can only be reached by living a true adventure.
The first stop is at the Carbajal Valley, with its glacial origin lake surrounded by peat bogs, native forests, and the mountains of the Fuegian Andes. We then continue to Siberianos del Fuego, a winter center where you'll meet the famous Siberian huskies who are the stars of the winter mushing culture in Ushuaia. Get ready for a heartwarming encounter with these incredible dogs!
Getting back on National Route N°3, we head towards the Paso Garibaldi viewpoint, our trans-Andean pass, from where you'll get panoramic views of Escondido and Fagnano Lakes.
The adventure along the Casona de Mary, where we'll make a brief stop before continuing the journey. From there, the road leads us to the Bombilla Natural Reserve, where the most fun part of the tour begins: the off-road section. Navigating through mud, forests, and uneven roads, we reach the shore of Fagnano Lake. There, you'll have time to walk along the edge of one of the largest lakes in our beloved Argentina while enjoying a "picada" (a classic snack platter) with that exclusive view.
The day continues at Villa Las Cotorras, another of the traditional historic winter resorts, where you'll share a full lunch you'll have the option to enjoy the classic all-you-can-eat Patagonian lamb, or choose from other delicious options like "milanesas" (breaded steaks), chicken, or homemade pasta.
With full bellies and happy hearts, we continue to enjoy the exclusive activities: an ATV (quad bike) ride, the perfect dose of adrenaline that lets you experience the energy of the Fuegian landscape up close. You'll also get the chance to hike to an active beaver colony, where you'll see firsthand how these animals have shaped the landscape through their tireless efforts.
At the end of the day, we'll return to your accommodation in Ushuaia with the feeling of having experienced a full day of 4x4 adventure, history, nature, and Patagonian flavors at the End of the World.
