The excursion begins when we pick you up around 9 in the morning in our vehicles that will guarantee comfort and safety throughout the excursion.
With everyone on board, we head towards route N°3 towards the North.
As we move away from the Beagle Channel, the landscape reveals the Oliva and Cinco Hermanos mountains on the horizon, as well as the Carbajal Valley where the Peat is exploited.
Next, the road takes us to the Carbajal valley, where we can see one of the large peat reserves in the area, we can also see part of what belongs to the Vinciguerra glacier, one of the most important in Tierra del Fuego.
Reaching a height of 500 meters above sea level, we can enjoy the most amazing panoramic views of Lago Escondido from the famous Mirador del Paso Garibaldi. This lake has that name because on foggy days, it is completely covered by fog.
Next we will continue on our way until we reach the famous and long-awaited Lake Fagnano, the largest in Tierra del Fuego and among the 10 largest in the country. Here we will enjoy a break on the shores of the lake
During the tour you will be able to admire the immensity of the mountain range, our specialized guide will tell you the history while you appreciate the peaks, glaciers, the Patagonian forest and the peat bogs that cover the valleys.
The first stop we will make will be in the Carbajal Valley, one of the large peat reserves in the area, there, our guides will tell you everything about the place. We will also be able to observe a small part of the Vinciguerra Glacier, one of the most important glaciers in Tierra del Fuego.
We will continue the trip until we reach the winter center “Las Cotorras” where we will choose our lunch for later. Next we will continue until we reach the famous Paso Garibaldi viewpoint, from where we can see the Escondido Lake, it has that name because on foggy days it is completely covered.
After enjoying and touring the place, we will return to the city so that you can continue enjoying both other excursions and the city itself.
