Both tours have different alternatives to choose from. On the one hand, it is the navigation through the Beagle Channel, and on the other hand, the visit to the Tierra del Fuego National Park. These two excursions in Ushuaia have morning and afternoon departures, so you can organize your schedule and itinerary.
Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world and is waiting for you to live an amazing winter season enjoying the beautiful scenery and nature in all its splendor.
Beagle Channel Navigations
The winter tours aboard boats departing from the Port of Ushuaia offer a wonderful tour through the Beagle Channel, to get to know closely the islands of the Bridges Archipelago, its native flora and fauna and spend an unforgettable half day. There are two options: a three and a half hour tour and a four hour tour. Both depart at 9:30 am and 3 pm.
During the excursion through the Channel you can admire: Alicia Island (with a colony of sea lions), the Island of the Birds (where the stars are the cormorants), the island of the wolves (to meet the specimens of one or two hairs), the Les Eclaireus Lighthouse (built in the early twentieth century), the Bridges Islands (for a short trekking if weather conditions permit) where you will learn a lot about the culture of the Yamanas.
In addition, the crew members will tell many stories, such as those of the shipwreck of the SS Monte Cervantes in the 1930s and information about the marine species and bird life of the area.
Tierra del Fuego National Park
Must-see places, if there are any. The National Park is one of them. It offers the option of touring part of its 63 thousand hectares for 4 hours, or use part of that time to get on the train at the end of the world, to know the same way that the prisoners did when they went to the forest to cut trees. Departures are at 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and it is located 12 km from Ushuaia.
The National Park allows to observe all the species of the Fuegian flora, among which the lenga, the ñires, the guindo, the Indian beard and a variety of flowers stand out. It is also possible to admire the Laguna Verde, Lapataia Bay and La Roca. You can also observe beaver lodges and birds.
Don't miss the opportunity to navigating the Beagle Channel nor of touring Tierra del Fuego National Park during your vacation. You have two daily departures to schedule each one. What are you waiting for to come?
