1. We start the adventure from the Port of Ushuaia
We’ll meet directly at the Ushuaia Tourist Port, located just a few blocks from the city center, and get ready for the adventure ahead. From the moment you board the catamaran, you’ll feel the unique excitement of navigating one of the most famous channels in the world.

2. We’ll disembark at Puerto Karelo (Bridges Islands)
When you disembark on Karelo Island, you’ll discover the fascinating history of the Yámana people, the ancient canoeing inhabitants of the Beagle Channel. As you walk along the trail, you’ll see archaeological remains such as shell middens, where they accumulated mollusk shells, evidence of the way they lived in close connection with the sea.
You’ll imagine how these ancient native inhabitants once navigated these same waters in small canoes, hunting and fishing to survive in the extreme conditions of the End of the World. The departure point is the Ushuaia Tourist Port, right in the city center, and very easy to find. The exact meeting point will be provided with your booking. This excursion does not include transfers, so you must arrive on your own at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure, so you can board comfortably and without rushing.
We are prepared to navigate even if there is some wind or rain, which are normal conditions in Patagonia. Only in exceptional situations, if the Argentine Naval Prefecture determines that conditions in the Beagle Channel are not suitable for navigation, the excursion may be rescheduled or refunded, according to your preference.
In spring, the climate begins to moderate, but it can still vary. The ideal is to wear comfortable clothing and some light warm clothing nearby:
It is always advisable to add a light hat or a scarf. Remember that the weather can change, so it's better to be prepared for everything.
On the Beagle Channel Navigation: Sea Lions and Lighthouse, penguin colonies are not visited, as these charming inhabitants are only here during the spring-summer season (approximately from October to March).
