1. Starting the experience right from your doorstep
The experience begins with the comfort of knowing that you don’t have to worry about a thing. We pick you up directly from your accommodation in Ushuaia and leave the city behind as we travel along National Route No. 3, the only road that connects the island of Tierra del Fuego from south to north.
You’ll see how the trees, peat bogs, and snow-covered mountains gradually take center stage.
The Carbajal Valley comes into view and amazes us with its vast expanse of frozen peat bogs, surrounded by snow-covered mountains and forests.
2. We Visit a Siberian Husky Kennel
Our first stop is the Siberian husky kennel at Siberianos de Fuego, home to more than 130 strong, noble, and absolutely adorable dogs that have been part of the history of winter in Ushuaia through the practice of mushing.
You’ll be able to meet them up close, pet them, and take the sweetest photos. It’s a moment full of puppy love, perfect for connecting with the warmest side of winter, surrounded by thick coats, tongues hanging out, and tails that never stop wagging.
3. Lunch at the historic winter center Villa Las Cotorras
The experience continues at the historic Villa Las Cotorras winter center, where a comforting lunch awaits you to enjoy at a relaxed pace.
You can choose between the classic lamb cooked on a cross over an open fire or some delicious homemade pasta, with one drink included, dessert, and the traditional Café del Mono prepared over hot coals. It’s the perfect moment to warm up, share, and recharge your energy.
4. You will experience the adrenaline on snowmobiles
One of the most anticipated moments of the day has arrived: the ride through the snow-covered valley on snowmobiles. You’ll feel the adrenaline and excitement as you make your way across the completely white valley, surrounded by forests and mountains.
If you’re over 18 years old, you’ll get your turn to drive the snowmobile (they are two-seaters, with two people per snowmobile switching drivers halfway through the route); or, if you don’t meet the required age or simply prefer not to drive, you can also choose to ride as a passenger and enjoy the experience with complete peace of mind, always accompanied by our expert guides.
5. You’ll walk through snow-covered forests on snowshoes
You will live the experience of walking through the snowy valley with snowshoes, surrounded by winter nature in its purest state. Step by step, you will feel the soft crunch of your footsteps on the fresh snow, while you breathe pure air and contemplate a landscape that you will keep as a treasure in your memory.
6. Fun and laughter on a "culipatín" (sled)
You will feel like a child again with the turn for culipatín (snow sliding). It is time to get on this particular sled and slide through the snow amidst laughter, excitement, and lots of fun. Adults and children alike enjoy this joyful activity, where age doesn't matter: only letting go, laughing, and sharing an unforgettable moment in the snow of Ushuaia.
7. We return to the city of Ushuaia with a heart full of memories
With your heart full of memories after a full day enjoying the snow, it’s time to return to Ushuaia.
We’ll take you to the city center, right in front of our office (Av. San Martín 775), so you can continue enjoying the city at your own pace. We’ll also treat you to a hot chocolate to end this unforgettable experience in the best possible way.
