1. We depart from our office in downtown Ushuaia
The experience begins at our Info De Ushuaia® office in the city center (Av. San Martín 775), where we meet to start the afternoon of adventure. We head towards the Tierra del Fuego National Park, in the southwest area of the city, just 12 km from downtown Ushuaia.
2. Exploring the Tierra del Fuego National Park
You'll discover the paisajes característicos del Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego: sus mountains, lakes of glacial origin, and vast peat bogs, along with the native forests of lengas, ñires y coihues que definen la región, todo cubierto de los paisajes otoñales. You will feel how nature and the history se entrelazan para hacer de este parque nacional un lugar absolutamente único.
3. Bahía Lapataia
Upon arriving at Lapataia Bay, lo primero que vas a ver es el famoso cartel, símbolo internacional, que marca el final de la National Route N°3, la misma que conecta Ushuaia with Alaska via the Pan-American Highway: ¡llegaste al Fin del Mundo! Vas a poder recorrer su pasarela de madera that bordea la bahía y permite acceder a diferentes miradores, observando el encuentro entre el sea, mountains and the bosques otoñales de la zona, con vistas que muestran por qué este es uno de los lugares más emblemáticos del Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego.
4. Laguna Verde y Lago Acigami
Vamos a llegar a Green Lagoon, cuyas aguas le hacen honor a su nombre. Rodeada de bosques, desde este punto vas a poder apreciar a la lejanía el Mount Cóndor, límite imaginario con nuestro país hermano Chile. Luego, continuamos y llegamos al Acigami Lake, lago cuyo nombre, proveniente del native Yámana people, means “elongated basket”, una referencia a la forma del lago. Acá vas a observar el paisaje e imaginar cómo los antiguos nativos de estas tierras vivían en profunda armonía con la naturaleza de Ushuaia.
5. Ensenada Zaratiegui o Centro de Visitantes Alakush
Dependiendo de las condiciones del día, vas a disfrutar de una última parada especial to completar tu experiencia: podría ser el Alakush Visitor Center, un cálido refugio donde vas a relajarte, descubrir fascinating stories en su museo y llevarte algún recuerdo especial, o quizás Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay, un rincón mágico junto al Beagle Channel donde vas a poder contemplar vistas panorámicas increíbles y visitar la última casilla postal del Fin del Mundo.
