🌞🌲 UNMISSABLE Tierra del Fuego National Park Tour – (Summer)

The Unmissable Tierra del Fuego National Park experience combines nature, history, and the chance to add an additional activity to complete your day in a single journey: a City Tour through Ushuaia or a lunch at El Asador, two alternatives designed to enrich your visit to the End of the World.

You'll get to explore the only national park in our Argentina where the forest, the sea, and the mountains meet in one single setting, during the best season of the year, when the days are longer, the climate is more pleasant, and the forests display their most intense green. Summer in Ushuaia allows you to enjoy every stop with greater comfort, with accessible trails and luminous environments.

During the visit, you'll get to know its most emblematic places:

  • 🌊 Lapataia Bay, the end of National Route N°3 and the Pan-American Highway.

  • 🏞️ Acigami Lake, surrounded by mountains and forests that in summer become more lush and luminous.

  • 🌿 Green Lagoon, with its emerald tone highlighted by the light and the full green of the season.

  • 🌅 Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay, featuring its historic pier and the southernmost post office box of the Argentine Post Office.

In addition to exploring the Tierra del Fuego National Park, you'll be able to choose an additional activity to complete your day with the UNMISSABLE version:

  • 🚌 Ushuaia City Tour: a tour of the most representative spots from the city, with panoramic views and key stops to understand its history, su architecture, its traditional neighborhoods and the places that marked its growth.

  • 🍽️ Lunch at El Asador: a gastronomic proposal featuring an "all-you-can-eat" barbecue by steps, with a variety of meats, side dishes and hot options, perfect for enjoying a hearty meal and relaxed in a comfortable and familiar atmosphere.

The UNMISSABLE Tierra del Fuego National Park Tour – (Summer) experience is ideal for those who want to enjoy the most representative landscapes of the End of the World in the most luminous season of the year, with the flexibility to choose how to complete their day in Ushuaia: exploring the city or enjoying a typical meal that perfectly complements the day.

*YOUR DAY, STEP-BY-STEP:

1. Your adventure starts right at your doorstep

From that moment on, you'll know this day is going to be unforgettable. We'll pick you up right at the door of your accommodation and head towards the city's southwest area, straight to the legendary Tierra del Fuego National Park, just 12 km from downtown Ushuaia.

2. Exploring the Tierra del Fuego National Park

You'll discover the characteristic landscapes of the Tierra del Fuego National Park: its mountains, lakes of glacial origin, and vast peat bogs, along with the native forests of lenga, ñire, and coihue trees that define the region, home to the friendly red fox and the emblematic giant woodpecker. You'll feel how nature and history intertwine to make this national park an absolutely unique place.

3. Lapataia Bay: The Postcard of the End of the World

Upon arriving at Lapataia Bay, the first thing you'll see is the famous sign, an international symbol, that marks the end of National Route N°3, the same one that connects Ushuaia to Alaska via the Pan-American Highway: you've reached the End of the World! You'll be able to walk along its wooden boardwalk that borders the bay and provides access to different viewpoints, observing the meeting of the sea, the mountains, and the forests of the area, with views that show why this is one of the most emblematic places in the Tierra del Fuego National Park.

4. Laguna Verde and Acigami Lake: Ancestral Landscapes

You'll appreciate the imposing views of Cerro Cóndor, the imaginary border with our sister country Chile, at Laguna Verde. Then, you'll arrive at Acigami Lake, a lake whose name, from the native Yámana people, means “elongated basket,” a reference to the lake's shape. Here you'll observe how the ancient inhabitants lived in deep harmony with the Patagonian nature.

5. Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay: Where the Sea Hugs the Land

Ensenada Zaratiegui is an unforgettable panoramic spot where the Beagle Channel cuts into the land, creating magical views, surrounded by flag tree forests, trees shaped by the region's winds. Here you'll contemplate the famous Redonda Island and visit the last post office box of the Argentine Post Office, an emblematic place.

6. Return to the city to continue the experience

After touring the landscapes of the Tierra del Fuego National Park, we return to Ushuaia. This transfer brings us back to the city, where the chosen option within the UNMISSABLE excursion awaits you, to continue enjoying Ushuaia with the proposal that best suits your style.

7. The culmination of the experience: your unmissable choice

The time has come to live the option you chose in your unmissable version, to complete your day after the Tierra del Fuego National Park:

  • If you choose the City Tour, you will tour the most representative spots of Ushuaia: viewpoints, historic neighborhoods and key places that tell the story of how the southernmost city in the world grew. It's an ideal way to add context, discover corners you might not see on your own, and end the day understanding more about the history and the daily life in Ushuaia. Your experience concludes by taking you back to your accommodation or to our downtown office (Av. San Martín 775) so you can continue exploring at your own pace.

  • If you choose lunch at El Asador, a unique gastronomic experience awaits you with an all-you-can-eat barbecue by courses format, where you'll find cuts of meat, side dishes, hot options, and a variety of dishes for all tastes, completely free. It is a perfect way to enjoy Patagonian flavors in a warm and familiar atmosphere. Your experience ends here.

Both alternatives complete the UNMISSABLE experience, offering you the freedom to choose how you want to continue enjoying Ushuaia: exploring the city or connecting with its typical cuisine.

1. Start of the experience: Lunch at El Asador

The midday starts at El Asador, a modern and comfortable space where you'll enjoy a hearty lunch con all-you-can-eat barbecue by steps format. You'll find a variety of meat cuts, hot options, side dishes and dishes for all tastes, designed for you to enjoy a complete meal before starting the adventure.

It's the ideal start to recharge your energy and prepare for the tour and the most emblematic stops of the Tierra del Fuego National Park.

2. From El Asador, we start the adventure

We pick you up directly in El Asador after your lunch and start the journey to begin the Tierra del Fuego National Park experience. As we leave the city's gastronomic area behind, that feeling of anticipation of the great momentsbegins: the afternoon gives way and the time comes to live one of the unmissable experiences of Ushuaia that make this excursion unique at the End of the World.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all! The tour runs throughout the entire year. In Ushuaia, the weather is part of the landscape: it can change several times in the same day, and that gives the experience a unique charm. Furthermore, the itinerary is prepared to adapt without you missing anything essential. However, if the weather condition requires attention, the excursion might need to be rescheduled.

You can choose one of two options to complete your UNMISSABLE NATIONAL PARK:

  • If you choose the City Tour, you will tour the most representative spots of Ushuaia: miradores, barrios históricos y lugares clave that tell the story of how the southernmost city in the world grew. It's an ideal way to add context, discover corners you might not see on your own, and end the day understanding more about the history and daily life in Ushuaia.

  • If you choose lunch at El Asador, a unique culinary experience featuring an "all-you-can-eat" barbecue by steps, where you will find cuts of meat, side dishes, hot options, and a variety of dishes for all tastes, completely free. It is a perfect way to enjoy Patagonian flavors in a warm and familiar atmosphere.

Even though it is summer, Ushuaia remains a Patagonian destination. You will have sunny days and cooler ones. The ideal is to dress in light layers:

  • T-shirt or base layer
  • Sweatshirt or light jacket
  • Long, comfortable pants
  • Waterproof jacket.
  • Footwear suitable for walking (waterproof and with good soles).

Get ready to walk among landscapes that seem to be from another planet!

No, it isn't. Due to regulations set by National Parks Administration, the entrance fee must be paid personally upon entry to the park, using cash (Argentine pesos).

If you prefer to pay by card, please visit the National Parks website to purchase your ticket online.

This is a separate cost from the tour, and the fee varies depending on your category (residency).

Depending on the daily number of passengers, we use comfortable vans or minibuses. We always prioritize your comfort so you can enjoy the trip to the fullest.

The time spent at each location may vary slightly depending on how the excursion develops that day. We always try to ensure you can enjoy it peacefully, taking photos and making the most of each stop without rushing.

Yes, it is an ideal activity for everyone! From families with small children to older people, everyone can enjoy this excursion. The routes within the National Park are done by train and vehicle, and the hikes are short. Furthermore, the guide is always present, ensuring that everyone enjoys it without rushing. And at Villa Las Cotorras, if you choose the activities, you will have professional guides who will accompany you at all times: no previous experience is needed.

Absolutely! In all of our excursions you'll be accompanied by a professional bilingual guide (Spanish-English), who will share stories, anecdotes and interesting facts with you throughout the entire journey.
