Inside the park you will see the iconic flora and fauna of the Fuegian forest: large trees and animals as friendly as the Fuegian red fox, the cachaña or the giant woodpecker.
We will visit unique ecosystems in the world that were modeled by glaciers, such as the Lapataia paleo-fjord and the peat bogs!

Lapataia Bay

You will walk along the Las Lengas path until you reach Bahía Lapataia. There you will be able to take the iconic photo with the End of the World sign and enjoy the views of the bay.
The sign symbolizes the union of Ushuaia and Alaska, the 2 ends of the American continent connected by the Pan-American Route.
This is the southernmost protected area in the country, the only national park in Argentina that combines sea, forest and mountains.

The walk continues! I discovered the Verde Lagoon It is a beautiful backwater whose name is given by the intense color of the water.
From there we will see one of the faces of Cerro Condor, which marks an imaginary boundary with the sister Republic of Chile.
The lagoon is one of the park's camping areas and is the transition point that connects us to Lake Acigami.

After this we arrived at Lake Acigami. The name comes from the native Yámana language and means “elongated basket.” This is because in ancient times, the tribe used an elongated basket that has the same shape as the lake to collect mussels by canoe.
From this point we will be able to see in the background of the landscape the glaciers belonging to the Cordillera Darwin, in Chile, with whom we share the waters of the lake.
