1. End of the World Station: start of the ride
At the End of the World Station, the train's starting point, you will discover the "behind the scenes" of the Southern Fuegian Railway: you will be able to observe the historic engine room in full activity and walk through the photo gallery that will tell you the exciting history of the southernmost train in the world. And if you wish, at the station you can enjoy a coffee or take a special souvenir from the gift shop, while you prepare for the journey that is about to begin.
2. All aboard the End of the World Train!
It is time to board the famous “convict train,” where you will travel the last 7 kilometers of the original route that the former prisoners took every day from the Ushuaia Prison to the slopes of Mount Susana. Along these same tracks, the inmates traveled to extract wood and materials from what is today part of the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Those materials were what gave rise to many of the fundamental constructions for the Ushuaia of the mid-last century. During this journey back in time aboard the train, you will relive those stories while contemplating forests, rivers, and mountains that were witnesses to that era, in addition to observing vestiges of the work of those prisoners.
3. La Macarena Station: intermediate stop in nature
We arrive at La Macarena Station, the intermediate station, where the locomotives are supplied with water. You will have the opportunity to get off the train and walk to an impressive viewpoint, with panoramic views of the Pipo River Valley, Guanaco Hill, La Portada Hill, and Mount Susana. In this wonderful natural corner, you will also discover the hidden La Macarena waterfall. It is an ideal stop to take photos with the train and appreciate the geography of Ushuaia, before the whistle invites us to climb back on and continue the journey to the final stop: the National Park Station.

Yes. Although the train ticket does not include the park visit, the National Park entrance fee must be paid anyway, since the train enters its territory. This payment is made at the entrance, in cash or by card, according to the National Parks regulations.
The train departs from the End of the World Station, located about 8 km from the center of Ushuaia and a few kilometers from Tierra del Fuego National Park. If you do not have your own transportation, you can ask us about transfer options.
