A bordo del legendario Tren del Fin del Mundo, vas a revivir en tiempo y espacio los last 7 km of the original route que los presos del antiguo Ushuaia Prison hacían el siglo pasado en sus salidas de tala hacia el bosque, mientras descubrís los bosques y valles más representativos de la geografía de Ushuaia, cubiertos de snow y transformados en un paisaje completamente blanco.

1. End of the World Station: start of the ride
At the End of the World Station, the train's starting point, you will discover the "behind the scenes" of the Southern Fuegian Railway: you will be able to observe the historic engine room in full activity and walk through the photo gallery that will tell you the exciting history of the southernmost train in the world. And if you wish, at the station you can enjoy a coffee or take a special souvenir from the gift shop, while you prepare for the journey that is about to begin.
2. All aboard the End of the World Train!
It is time to board the famous “convict train,” where you will travel the last 7 kilometers of the original route that the former prisoners took every day from the Ushuaia Prison to the slopes of Mount Susana. Along these same tracks, the inmates traveled to extract wood and materials from what is today part of the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Those materials were what gave rise to many of the fundamental constructions for the Ushuaia of the mid-last century. During this journey back in time aboard the train, you will relive those stories while contemplating forests, rivers, and mountains that were witnesses to that era, in addition to observing vestiges of the work of those prisoners.
3. La Macarena Station: intermediate stop in nature
Llegamos a la La Macarena Station, la estación intermedia, lugar donde las locomotoras son abastecidas con agua. You will have the opportunity de bajar del tren y caminar hacia un mirador impresionante, con vistas panorámicas del Valle del Río Pipo, el Cerro Guanaco, el Cerro La Portada y el Monte Susana. This excursion only includes the ride on the End of the World Train, from the End of the World Station to the National Park Station, covering the original historical segment. The ticket includes the on-board experience and the use of the audio system with multilingual accounts.

Yes. Although the train ticket does not include the park visit, the National Park entrance fee must be paid anyway, since the train enters its territory. This payment is made at the entrance, in cash or by card, according to the National Parks regulations.
The train departs from the End of the World Station, located about 8 km from the center of Ushuaia and a few kilometers from Tierra del Fuego National Park. If you do not have your own transportation, you can ask us about transfer options.
